I’m interested in this project because it has always been my dream to decorate Cleveland with art that motivates, inspires and educates others. But more importantly, I feel that it is important for people who come from the community experiences of a neighborhood like Buckeye, and who can relate to the trials and tribulations from an environmental, political and economical perspective. This mutual understanding is an important foundation in developing art that speaks to those experiences and to those people. This is a spiritual connection that produces a tighter bond between artist, the art and the community.

In general, my conceptual vision is to work with my team to produce a mural that focuses on motifs, images and a theme that reflects inspiring the city. As a product of the African American community, it has always been my plight to use art to capture the struggles and the successes that we endure, and to paint a picture of who we truly are and can be.

The approach, style and energy of the concept direction would be influenced by a mesh of Hip-Hop and African culture.

This can take on so many different directions in terms of actual concept, and he is still researching what that will be specifically. This concept would be heavily dependent upon the size and location of the wall space.
